Rocket Girl Lager - Asheville Brewing Co - Asheville, NC
Crisp and easy-drinking beer, brewed with Kolsch yeast to give it the character of both an ale and a lager.
Garand IPA - Currahee Brewing Co - Franklin, NC
During World War II, Easy Company carried the M1 Garand into countless battles. According to General George S. Patton, Garand is "the greatest battle implement ever devised." Our standard issue IPA bursts with pine and citrus flavor. Like its namesake, Garand maintains malt and hop balance, so go ahead and fire off one more.
HOPness Monster - Catawba Brewing Co - Asheville, NC
Our Blue Ridge Mountains harbor their own Nessie: Hoppius Heddius, The HOPness Monster. She lurks in the cold, fresh waters of Western North Carolina, rising to terrorize poor, hop-shy souls. As the locals say, “Bless their hearts, they don’t know any better.” With an abundance of fresh Citra and Cascade, this IPA boasts a big biting hop profile with notes of tropical fruit, juicy citrus, and pine. Embrace her beastly charms!
Mangose - Upcountry Brewing Co - Asheville, NC
This refreshingly tart gose is ready for spring. Mangose has sea salt and coriander added to the boil and mangos added during fermentation, leaving a pleasant stone fruit finish.
Blackberry Cider - Bold Rock - Mills River, NC
Blackberry Cider originated with a challenge to Bold Rock cider makers: create the perfect summer beverage, refreshing but not overly sweet. The result is a hard apple cider underpinned by the beloved summer berry, allowing for a fruit-forward cider bursting with rich notes of blackberry on the nose paired with a distinctive tartness and touch of sweetness on the finish. This enjoyable union of flavors will undoubtedly keep consumers going back for that next sip on hot summer days.
The Big Question: Why do you have so few of your own beers?
Answer: When we applied for our federal permits the approval time was averaged at 30 days. It took us 86 days to receive our “Okay” - many breweries in North Carolina are still waiting. With the federal approval granted - we are now waiting on state approval. This should be much quicker - averaging a few days for approval. Unfortunately, with the longer than expected waiting period - we ran through much of our stock which we thought would get us through to brew. Our first two batches will be our Waterfall IPA and our Hiking Viking Blonde. They will be ready in approximately 4 weeks. Until then - we hope that you enjoy the wonderful guest taps that we have to offer!
